Catch A Bus In The Whitsundays

Buses Run Throughout Each Day!

The Whitsundays have buses running throughout each day which can pick you up and drop you off to Proserpine, Cannonvale, Airlie Beach, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour and everywhere in between.

Catching a bus is an easy way to travel to the shops to get groceries, or travel to Shute Harbour to complete the Coral Beach Bushwalk. You will see buses driving through Airlie Beach approximately every half an hour, so if you miss one you can always catch the next one. When you travel along the main road, you will see their yellow and blue bus stop signs at almost every turn. If you wait at a bus stop, they will pull in as they are going by.

At each Shopping Centre and outside most accommodation on the main road, they have blue bus shelters with seats for you to wait. The main bus shelter in Airlie Beach is located outside Base Backpackers, near the round about as shown below.
