This is a beautiful destination. The apartment has the best view of anywhere I have ever stayed or visited, it is incredible! The accommodation has everything needed for a very enjoyable, relaxing stay. It really is a ‘bucket list’ place to visit. I would come back and stay here over and over.
The only negative is that the apartment’s view comes from it being on top of a pretty steep hill. We arrived by ferry and hired a car from the centre of Airlie Beach. I don’t think we would have enjoyed our stay as much without having a car to get up and down the steep road from the town centre to the apartment. We did walk from the apartment to town and back once at night, and it was ok, but I wouldn’t like to do the walk in the heat of the day or with shopping. Taxi’s do stand in the middle of Airlie Beach and at the ferry terminal and are easy to get. There aren’t many Uber’s in Airlie, it’s mostly cabs. Our tour companies also picked-up from outside the apartment complex.
