We stayed in Boathouse 310. The apartment was comfortable and the lounges especially nice! The view was fantastic, on the top level overlooking the marina. We also had the pleasure of a nesting bird on our balcony which was no bother at all. The location was great - close to town and easily walkable and just far away not to be in the centre of the buzzing nightlife - especially the Airlie pub. There is a Woolies grocery store and bottle shop just 5-10 mins walk away in the town where we could get anything we needed.
We stayed for a week and so needed to buy everything from bin liners to shampoo and even salt and pepper - the only items in the cupboard were a small bottle of woolies olive oil and oil spray which might have been left by the previous visitors - but we appreciated those anyway. It's useful to be aware of these small things if you're coming for just a few days you might want to bring some stuff with you rather than have to buy it all for a couple of days.
The coffee club is directly below on the street level and useful if you like takeaway coffee - it closed around 2pm each day.
The apartment could have been 5 stars except for a bit of wear and tear - shabby blinds and non working light fittings - most likely bulbs - but at the end of the day we got used to that and focussed more on the beautiful views offered from the balconies - a joy to wake up to every day and sit with an early morning cuppa.
The Whitsunday Sailing Club is diagonally across from the apartments and an easy walk. They offered great food and drinks in a lovely setting. We also got to crew on a sailboat - a real highlight of our stay. Check out their website if you are there on a Wednesday for 'twilight racing' - was truly a great experience.
