Are you ready for one of the biggest sporting events in Queensland!

The Don River Dash is an endurance and off-road racing event that continues to break competitor and spectator records.

Competitors travel 25km upstream along the southern bed of Bowen’s Don River.

Navigating their way through a mixture of sand, rocks, and jumps, the competitors will then return along the northern side of the river bed, completing the 50km loop.

In total, competitors test their skills over 2 days and across 300km to answer the ultimate question:

Who will be King or Queen of the River?

Spectators

Spectators can view spectacular action as motorbikes, buggies and trophy trucks race over the rugged terrain and jumps to complete the the 150km course.

Each competitor will pass spectators vantage point 3 times, giving continuous action over 2 days, unlike any other similar race where spectators only see the action for a single pass.

Spectators have the opportunity to watch world class competitors racing at incredible speeds at close proximity, giving an adrenalin rush not easily experienced anywhere else.

To keep you fuelled and energised, there is an array of food and beverage vendors available!

Thursday

Competitors are set to start rolling in to Bowen before hitting the Don River for a speed limited look lap on Friday afternoon!

Friday

Spectators can pop by the Showgrounds from 4pm to view the array of buggies, bikes and trophy trucks before they hit the river at 8.30am on Saturday!

To keep you fuelled and energised, there is an array of food and beverage vendors available!

Saturday & Sunday

Head over trackside by 8:30am for the buggy race start. 150km in 50 km loops with constant action past the spectator area with full commentary of the event provided!

Bikes set to commence at 12pm!

Food and beverage vendors will be available trackside.
